I have never seen one of these before so I snagged it. Appears to be a very early box and shipper
for the OM safety conversions. I checked JD's book under box's but I might have missed it.
Pretty neat. Looking forward to your replies.

Terry,
I'm pretty sure I have one at home.
We are at fish camp, but I should be home mid week and I will check.

Hey.......I just checked my pic files on this old laptop and found this.
Like I said, I will dig it out next week.
The guy got the box & papers to send it in, but never did, it's not converted

Here is a post I started from 2019.
It turned into a Super ID post, but maybe your inquiry will prompt more discussion of the conversion return process.

Jay,
Rugerguy over on RF.com said that these box's were also made for S&W also. Seems that WBR nixed them do to cost.
They are a quality made box nothing like today, to me the metal reinforced corners & heavier cardboard construction
pretty well sums it up. ;)

As you can see in the pic, mine is all cardboard, so the one you found is super cool.
Hopefully more info will come out due to your post.
