I picked this up earlier in the year and it was rolled up. I'm struggling with where I got it and I have it my mind that it was a calendar. When Taryn unrolled it I was expecting a calendar. Is this a calendar with the date pages missing from the bottom or something else? If it was a calendar I figured there would be a date on it somewhere even if date pages are missing.

It certainly looks like there should be more to it, but I have no idea.

I bought all 12 issues of American Rifleman for '56 and '57 specifically to get all of the OM Blackhawk ads. I really need to get around to pulling them out and getting them framed....

Yes, it's the 1976 Ruger calendar, it had the tear off month pages stapled. If they stay stored in the shipping tube I've seen them separate when rolled out.

No staple holes so I'm guessing they were separated at some point since 1976.

I was getting to many beer signs, so I built a shelf above my ads for some of them and underlit the shelf.
I think the ads really pop now.......

Many years ago, I purchased a complete set of American Rifleman magazines for every month from1945 through 1975. After removing every staple, I secured the Ruger advertisements in plastic page protectors in chronological order. They remain in large three ring notebooks for each decade. They make great display items and are well preserved. Brass Frame/Lee E

Troy is not the only one with a creative wife, although I did the building!!

I have a big folder of old ads but there is no rhyme or reason for what is in the folder. I did pull these four out and set aside for Taryn. She's on the lookout for a picture frame the right shape and size to put them in at some point. Originally, I wanted to replace them with more perfect examples but decided I like the torn edges and the fact they are not all the same size.
