My neighbor, Dennis Holland, made and carved these ivory grips for my 50th anniversary .357. It was engraved by the Ruger Studio.

I normally don't like carved grips, but those are very well done and they look great on the gun.

No doubt that Dennis is a rare talent. Tell the story about the guy( not to be named) who wanted the nekkid woman on some grips!

Dennis also does fabulous scrimshaw. A customer from out of state wanted a pair of grips with a nude woman on them. Dennis said send a picture. The guy had a beautiful wife and took a Polaroid of her, buck naked. When he got the grips, he had no idea Dennis was so good; a perfect image almost like a transfer. He sent them back for a veil or face change.

Super nice engraved 50th anniversary .357 with gold inlay. The carved ivory grips are truly outstanding. Did Paul Lantuch engrave your .357?

He did. A great talent. I wish Ruger had not shut the Studio down.
