White SR scrimshawed grips

Post by 67stingray »

I recently picked up this set of bonded ivory grips with the SR inside the outline of the Ruger Phoenix scrimshawed onto them. Has anyone seen a set of these before, I think I remember seeing them on a distributor special edition but not sure. They currently reside on a Hi-Gloss KBNV-455.

That is really nice! Are they the same on both sides? Where did you find them? If it isn't too nosy what does a set like that cost?

Those were put on the Davidson's "Dealer Special" Vaqueros in blue and stainless. Davidson's had a promotion where if you sold so many Rugers they would send you a blue BNV-455DS or stainless KBNV-455DS

Thanks Chad, I knew I had seen them somewhere. LDB, I got them from a seller on ebay for what I considered to be an reasonable price but this is the first set I've seen show up for sale so price is set at seller's mercy. Both sides are the same.

Yep,, part of the distributor special offering.

I have a few factory "flyers" on them when they were offered.
