Next Display idea

As Taryn and I get close to finishing up our display for the NRA convention in April my mind turns to our next display. I'm toying with the idea of "Why the S in the original SR logo matters" and putting together a display regarding the importance of Alex Sturm in the history of Sturm Ruger. Unfortunately, I have never chased the Sturm items, so I really am starting from scratch with this idea. It may have to be a display for the year after this, but I'd like to start putting together the early Sturm items. Please let me know if you have anything you would be willing to part with or what I should be chasing that should be included in a display showing the importance of Sturm.

That is an excellent idea Troy. I think when they dropped the S off the logo probably ticked me off worse than anything they ever did!

Well, Alex Sturm stuff is a bit hard to find,, and NOT cheap.
Books;
"Problem Fox" with several printings.
"Ambush to Zig-Zag" one printing, and only 1500 copies.
There were a few other books that advertised Alex's books,, on their DJ; "Slick Willy" comes to mind.

Actual metal sculpture; "Agustus the Fox" figurine. NOT easily found. And expensive.

I am sure you probably already have it, but Don did have a book about Sturm too. He's probably sold them all.

Like Ty had mentioned the fox books 3 different hard cover and 3 different dust jackets in 7 printing. Ambush zig zag book, there is one other book he did Just can't remember title. The silly willy book has advertised on back of jacket for Ambush book. I know I have several photos of Sturm and Paulina. Then there are the holy grails of Alexander Sturm, the fox statuettes. This picture has the original sculpture from clay and a litter of 7 metal foxes. Good luck in your adventure.
