Recently I was asked to work on an upcoming project so I have been going through boxes of memorabilia and parts. I completely forgot I had acquired over the years. Hundreds of grips from early red eagle, solid black eagle , walnut with and without thumb rest auto grips. Muzzle breaks about a dozen type one auto bolts and early XR3 grips the list can go on. Here is a picture of a couple highly sought after early standard auto magazines and couple variations of Muzzle breaks.

My belief is, that those of us with duplicates should make such treasures available to other collectors to build their collections.........

Just my opinion.

The magazines and breaks don't fit revolvers. And some people should keep their opinions to themselves.

I used to be a hoarder collector but have switched to a more "Type Set" collector. I would like to have one of each, maybe two if it makes sense, but I'm usually content with one. It leaves room for more space on the wall or in the curio cabinets. I've been pretty good the last few years of cleaning out the extra drawers and assorted boxes and having everything either in a shadow box on the wall or in one of the curio cabinets.

Troy hope your not referring me as a hoarder, I buy these parts for if I purchased a gun with the wrong grips or anything else I have the parts to make it right. Just like boxes you can't have enough of those. But going through all these boxes of memorabilia I am finding all kinds of interesting things.

We define our own collecting styles. I used to define myself as a "Hoarder" collector and now I define myself as a "Type Set" collector. I tend to avoid making judgements on how others would define themselves.
