I doubt 199999 would have been duplicated.
The problem with duplicating these auto serial numbers came about because Ruger has the Standards and Mark I's set up in the own serial number blocks.
The Mark I's were set up 15000 - 16999, 75xxx to 79999, 150000 to 159999, 190000 to 199999.
By the time Ruger hit 199999 in the Mark I, the 200xxx block had been produced earlier in the Standard auto block.
So after 199999, the employee kept running the serial numbers up to 2006xx something before he realized the daybook already had the 200xxx range covered with Standard autos some time earlier.
The rest is history.
