James Triggs Painting

Post by JussBad »

Was wondering if anyone had any information on this print by James Triggs? I know Triggs did much of Ruger's cutaways, lithographs...including the Red Barn Print...Any information would be helpful. Also if you might know the value. Thanks.

Jim Triggs was asked to join the prestigious Society of American Historical Artists (SAHA) in 1981. At their yearly meetings & show this was Jim's first entry. He was elected to the office of SAHA Secretary in 1983. The original painting was oil on art board.

I picked up a large stack of American Rifleman magazines from 1954 thru 1965, I bought them for the Ruger Ads in them, ( Which I am bringing to Tulsa to sale) but, I was suprised by how many articles that James Triggs had published on alot of different guns ( Non-Ruger ).
Along with other members of Rugers company that wrote articles.
