Bodington Clean ups?

So over the past couple of years or so I have came across some No 1s with the Bodington style checkering with Circassian walnut. It is well known that several AH 25-06 guns had circassian walnut, but I found one with the Bodington style checkering. Also found a 1H in 375 H&H with the same style stock. Just can't pass these oddities up. Here are some pics of the pair,,,

They are out there with the Boddington, or Anniversary style checkering that are not supposed to be. I have even encountered a few with red Hawkeye pads.

I know nothing about #1's but I do like the stocks. Very nice!

lipsey's did an African adventure series of No 1s featuring CB, they were:
7x57 (leopard)
300 H&H (kudu)
375 Ruger (lion) should have been the 375 H&H - my opinion the 375 Ruger doesn't belong with these classic African cartridges, but I guess it was a marketing thing
450/400 NE (Buffalo)
450 NE (Elephant)

They featured matte finish, express sights, Warne quick release scope rings and circassian walnut stocks with the anniversary checkering pattern. Seems they made extra stocks and put them on other production rifles to use them up..

Was that your question???
