period correct ruger scope rings

Here is some questions for you experts. As many of the older guns in my collection have come without scope rings, I am trying to get the period correct rings for them.

Lee has already stated "I'm of the opinion that vertical rings went out in about September of 1968." beyond this I would like to know:

1) The year that slotted screws were phased out?

2) Did Ruger ever have Allen head screws? If so what years?

3) Year that Torx head screws started?

4) I have also noticed that new rings have a height designation on them i.e. 4 or 5. What year did that start?
