Re: Anyone seen stags like these?

It looks like somebody didn't like the bark that was on the grips originally, so filed it off.... Then decided they needed some kind of non slip surface afterall.

Re: 130 prefix No. 1 RSI

I just got a 132 prefix RSI in 30-06 at the Dixie Deer Classic. Letter from Ruger that came with it states the test fire date was May of 1983. Also states one of the 1st RSI’s produced. The funny thing is the serial number search says it shipped in 2012. If that’s true it sat around the factory jus...

Neat Number 1 rifle

Here's a neat #1 rifle that is for sale at the Rogers, MN Cabela's. Serial numbered 131-30171 it has an additional extra number at the bottom front of the receiver, "L78-000X". This receiver evidently was originally numbered as a prototype to the Lyman Centennial Rifle in 1978. When it did...

Re: #54 guns

That #200054 Lightweight is the one that started all kinds of speculation and mystery!!! In the late 1970's or early 1980's at a Columbus, Ohio gun show, Jeff Munnell was doing his usual scampering up and down gun show aisles looking for Ruger rarities. One table caught his eye... a bunch of shippin...

Re: Pistol and Revolver decals

Out of curiosity Rick, did you get all of those P&R decals out of one hoard? Or have you been adding to the stash for several years? Reason I ask, 15-20 years ago I found a hoard of 5 on one November Tulsa gun show table. I think there is a code date of 1957 on the back of those, so with Ed Nola...

Re: Interesting Original Ruger Invoice

Thanks Chet Yes I have been looking. I found an article by him from the early 70’s where he referenced having 2 243’s one Ruger M77 and one Winchester 70. He doesn't give any detail but it makes me wonder if the gun he mentioned having is this invoiced #634. Im still searching Kenny I'm curious whe...

Re: Red Eagle News Exchange (RENE)

Just curious... is RENE available digitally? No, unfortunately not. I'm not sure there's a way to keep a digital version financially secure without one person shooting an email version of one issue to his entire email list. I don't have trust issues unless its something like that. This is a hobby o...
