The foundry in Prescott was not casting cylinder frames. That was done in Newport. In Prescott we had many different customers and each had to have a wax mold to make the part that a wax pattern which was used was made to produce the steel or titanium part. John, I wrote an article on the knives many years ago. It was published in the Ruger Collectors Journal Vol. 7 March. 1983 No.1
I still have one blade that has been polished but not sharpened.
