Re: 1950 RST-4 (1st collectable?)

JMO........the T514 should never been removed from the Ruger Product line..........I "suggested" that to WBR at an annual NRA meeting when I tended bar in his Ruger Hospitality Suite....he rejected my suggestion rudely, I thought, adding "we make enough other damn 22's".......

SO............Stags are $650++..this RSS has a hole drilled in the GF and while attractive, is not worth 1500........JMO's best to pay attention to the ...

Re: Old model 4 5/8 price jump

That RSS4 was, over my 50+ years in this arena, the toughest RSS to find. I found more RSSE and The TriColor LtWt than the blued short barreled Single Six. The boxes even more rare. $1200 is far from enough for a boxed gun.........To wit........I have two after all these years and they "showed up" w...

Re: 1959 Flattop 357 valuation help

Seems a fair value observation. There are many choices for today's buyers and the modern Ruger Flattops are a referenced group. They are a very competitive offering. The market has narrowed for buyers to purchase this gun, unless they truly want a Ruger Old Model to shoot. JMO's

Re: Value Question, Ruger 1-A

Steve Vogel told me years ago that there were approximately (and only) 200 of the unmarked overrun 357's. That variation is the rare gun of the two. That is the $1800 dollar gun. Do your homework...........

Re: Type 2 flatgate with stags

We have never heard of factory stags being shipped on the gun from the factory. They were purely listed as accesories. Loading gate is a Premier after market. When Dick Beileau was Service Mgr and moved his Dept from Southport to the New Hampshire, he took no service records with him. He stated that...
