Re: Classic VI Takedown 10/22
Absolutely, but it just seems to me that they sold the best part; barreled actions are plentiful.
Yes, I have very special plans for one of those stocks, if I can find one.

Re: Classic VI Takedown 10/22
I've seen new international stocks for sale and thought about a project but was not set up to drill and tap the front sight band for the cover screw. I can't believe someone took the special stocks off of limited edition guns to scavenge barreled actions. But, hey... I'd buy it for a project if one ...

Re: Classic VI Takedown 10/22
I agree' Jaydawg, but the way things are going...?
It might be worth it, however, to whomever has #47 as it comes with personal correspondence and docs for that gun. Strange.
Are those takeoff stocks, Watertender? Double nice!

Re: Classic VI Takedown 10/22
Nice looking rifle! The chief had something there.
TALO put out a similar 50th model and this one with a Schnabel forearm.

Re: Classic VI Takedown 10/22
Yep, I definitely bought the wood. Shows Lots of pores and, in a switch, the forearm is the best piece. Looks like they're still in production but out of stock everywhere and currently unavailable from TALO per my FFL. Love my new take-down speed-stick.

Re: The CHIEF and ME.......
Since this is the most recent Chief AJ thread I thought I'd post thus here. It's #55 Indian Scout in DZ laminate; very special but not my thing. Oddly it has all the paperwork and personal letters for #47 but not its own. Horse trading possibilities here. We mourn his passing - a great loss to the c...

Classic VI Takedown 10/22
I've always fancied a takedown 10/22 and this one was irresistibly priced. It cearly is Chief AJ lineage with nice wood. I never thought I would buy a new 10/22 but this is too cool. The forend wood has a unique "figure" like a knot's edge. Anyone know how many Talo made? (You may have not...

Replacing M77/44 rear sight
I recently acquired a very nice 3-digit which had its rear sight removed for a scope. I bought a Ruger replacement part to restore it to stock but the dovetail seems a bit over-size. I drove it partway with a light hammer and wood block but I didn't want to go hard and it sits a little high. Is it n...

New Lipsey's 77/22 Hornet African
This is just a little bit ridiculous yet cool and I want one. My FFL is on the allocation list but Lipsey's says they don't know when they'll be available. We'll see.
