Interesting info on my old model .30 Carbine
Got my letter from Ruger today. My recently acquired old model Blackhawk .30 Carbine was shipped in Jan of 1971 to Hodgdon! Raises more questions than it answers. I wonder if they used it for load development, or if they had a retail store, or what?

Pretty sure they have always been in the white cardboard boxes. I know when they first came out they where, as I was working in a gun shop when they came out. Can't say what they come in now.

If you can get a good used MK2 would be my vote. Ruger could have stopped with the MK2 and I would have been happy.

Another Old Model in the stable
Found this un-molested old model .30 Carbine today! I know it's not the right grips, but it actually had a set of Pachmeyer rubbers on it, so at least it looks better than it did. First .30 Carbine I have ever owned. It shoots like a ray gun.
