Canadian MP marked pistol
Some of you may already be aware of this, but there is a MKI on gunbroker being advertised as a Canadian MP ruger. In Chads book, it doesn’t show that serial number, but it also states that it isn’t complete. The number falls within those serial numbers, But it also looks like th MP stamping could e...

Re: Early(ish) Mark I Target questions
For the incredibly meager sum of 10.00, ruger will send you a nice letter stating manufacture date, where it was originally shipped and might be able to confirm it’s a T678-W. I got 8 of em a few months ago, and I’m waiting on 9 more.
Money well spent in my opinion.

Re: To reblue, or not to reblue. That is the question.
I have a few “common” rugers that I have had reblued (not by ruger) but to have a red eagle done is a different story.
It just seems to me that if it’s done by ruger, it would present the best case scenario.

To reblue, or not to reblue. That is the question.
I’m sure this has been addressed many times, and I’m willing to bet everyone is divided on this, but…. I have a few red eagles that have lost the majority of the bluing. I imagine there isn’t a lot of value to these with the finish gone, but if I were to have ruger reblue them with letters stating s...

Re: Question about the French proofed guns
Bill,
I first noticed the highlighted serial numbers in Chad hiddlesons book,
But hadn’t seen one in person until now.

Question about the French proofed guns
Ok, now that I have these two French proofed standards in my collection (thank you
Jack),I Have a question.
Why are the serial numbers and the proofs filled in? (That’s what it looks like)
I have seen this in the ruger books, but always thought it was for clarity.
Both guns are this way

French proofed rst4 and rst6
Ok all knowing gurus, here’s a interesting one (or two) I have just purchased, (from another ROCS member), but haven’t received yet, a rst4 and a rst6. Both guns have French proof marks, and letters from ruger stating such. Sn. 16-66142 and Sn. 16-57892 The seller didn’t have much info, and a severa...

I’ve seen 2 of those pop up on GB in the last few years, and lost out on both of them.
