Blued Bisley 22

Picked up a blued single six bisley 22lr. Fluted cylinder, fixed rear sight(drift for windage) I tried to get a ship date on Rugers web sight no results. serial # 261-04200. Do I need to get a letter?

Ironhawk, pretty much what gunman42782 said. Nickel is much harder than brass and does not conform to the stress in the necking down process. Even with annealing the heat required will soften the nickel to the point of ruin. Use brass cases and anneal as you would for any brass case being careful no...

Coogs here is the serial number for my max 7.5" bbl. 600-00273
Front sight height is .525 from top of bbl to top of sight.

Could be customized buy the owners or pistol smiths I guess. If I were to change the grip frame on a Hawkeye it would be a Bisley grip. :D

I just read an article by John Marshall on the 256 Ruger Hawkeye. In it he states that some were produced with brass grip frames and some with Super Blackhawk square back grip frames.
