Re: No rifleman here.......

It is not the number of rifles that make one a rifleman. It's what you do with the rifle you have. You have two excellent .22LR rifles. Sounds like you qualify to be called a rifleman. Sincerely. bruce.

Re: Single Six grips

Should have thought of that. Used the nylon screw simply as a stop gap. Figured I'd have to order a replacement from Gun Parts or Numrich. Calling Ruger makes better sense. Thank you for the suggestion. Would prefer to have it fixed w/ the correct parts. Sincerely. bruce.

Re: Found a nice New Model Ruger Blackhawk.

Well, I made it to the range!!! Found a box of shells ... 10 rds. remaining. Found another box ... 12 rounds left. Then ... hit a gold mine. Found a box of shells marked $21.99 w/ all 50 rds.!!! So, I loaded everything up in a surplus gas mask bag and walked up to the gun shop/range and got myself o...

Found a nice New Model Ruger Blackhawk.

It all began yesterday. I went to the range and had a nice time poking holes in targets with my number one most favorite hole maker ... S&W Model 18-3. Single or double action ... that thing is just a joy to hold and shoot. Got it back in 2000. Just a wonderful handgun. After finishing at the ra...

Re: Single Six grips

Thank God for Ace Hardware! They have just about anything you can need. There I found 8/32 screws made of nylon and brass. Never occurred to me that screws might be made of nylon. The brass were ever so slightly beyond finger pressure to insert into the grip frame. The nylon were tight requiring a s...

Re: Single Six grips

Well! Well! Well! Removed the grips rather than just tightening the screw and guess what? The grip locator pin has been removed! Just plain MIA! So ... in a few minutes I will go down to Ace Hardware. I will buy a little wooden dowel which I will use as a substitute GLP until I can find and buy one....

Re: Single Six grips

Thank you so much for the kindness of your reply. Within the next few minutes will redo the grips w/ far less pressure. Will give attention to the other suggestions you offered. Sincerely. bruce.

Single Six grips

In a hurry. Will keep this brief. Bought a Single-Six. Serial number puts it at 2004 production. Excellent on target accuracy. Have found that the grips move through the course of firing. This is in spite of the screw being pulled up snug ... even approaching German tight! Thought that possibly the ...
