Re: 1894
Congratulations! That 1894 is a beautiful rifle! And of course it is in the perfect caliber! With conventional rifling, it should be good for both jacketed and cast lead bullets! Sincerely. bruce.

Re: Prob. w/ Blackhawk
Tried the idea about the cylinder pin. Made no difference. Removed the grip and tried the key. No soap. Going to have to do some more reading to figure this out. Will appreciate any help/advice anyone might have to offer. Sincerely. bruce.

Prob. w/ Blackhawk
Have one of the 50th anniversary Blackhawks in .357 Mag. Dry firing the other night w/ snap caps. Cocking slow and easy. No foolishness. Then, went to cock the hammer. Will not come back. Does anyone have any ideas on this? Would appreciate any suggestions before I go off and make a mistake. Sincere...

Re: NRA silver Medal
Gorgeous revolvers. Historically significant. Linked with men who were pivotal to firearms in general and the .44 Magnum in particular. Would have thought one or both would have been considered. Sincerely. bruce.

Re: No rifleman here.......
It is not the number of rifles that make one a rifleman. It's what you do with the rifle you have. You have two excellent .22LR rifles. Sounds like you qualify to be called a rifleman. Sincerely. bruce.

Re: Single Six grips
Should have thought of that. Used the nylon screw simply as a stop gap. Figured I'd have to order a replacement from Gun Parts or Numrich. Calling Ruger makes better sense. Thank you for the suggestion. Would prefer to have it fixed w/ the correct parts. Sincerely. bruce.

Re: Found a nice New Model Ruger Blackhawk.
Well, I made it to the range!!! Found a box of shells ... 10 rds. remaining. Found another box ... 12 rounds left. Then ... hit a gold mine. Found a box of shells marked $21.99 w/ all 50 rds.!!! So, I loaded everything up in a surplus gas mask bag and walked up to the gun shop/range and got myself o...
