Re: Canadian MP marked pistol
I would lean towards it being faked. There are enough early T678's that could be altered and stamped with corresponding serial numbers and markings. It's not like the RCMP Police Service Six that has a distinctive barrel length that would be hard to counterfeit.

Re: NRA silver Medal
Rod you need to wear your dress bib overalls to impress the judges! I think they are snobs and not looking at some of the finest firearms made just shows their bias.

Re: NRA silver Medal
There is no accounting for some people's taste in many areas. It's a shame that those 2 fine examples were brushed off. I would like to see what those judges felt was more worthy....

Ruger does a great job of rebluing. I think you will be happy with the results.

Re: Classic VI Takedown 10/22
I can't believe someone took the special stocks off of limited edition guns to scavenge barreled actions. But, hey... I'd buy it for a project if one comes up. [/quote] That's the beauty of the 10-22. You can tinker with the configuration and make it into something special for yourself. I have thoug...

Re: Classic VI Takedown 10/22
Yes the stocks came from Ebay. I like tinkering with the basic design of the 10-22 and trying different things. I made the blued one first and liked it so much that I found the parts to make a stainless version. I did the same thing with a couple of International stocks and BX triggers in both blued...

Re: Classic VI Takedown 10/22
I also made up one in blue. With the 16 inch barrel they balance perfectly. The stock configuration makes for easy handling and the BX trigger and TruGlo sights add to the overall package. I put an extended magazine on it to see how it feels and the original 10-22 box magazine is the way to go. 0402...

Re: Classic VI Takedown 10/22
Very nice! I made up a stainless 10-22 with a 16 inch barrel and TruGlo sights and a straight grip stock out of parts that I came up with. It has a BX trigger and it's the nicest shooting and carrying little carbine that you can imagine.
