I never know what to say when things like this happen but I hope that he's in a better place and will keep his family in my thoughts and prayers. It's especially sad to lose a founding member with an obvious passion similar to many of our own.
I have some updated information from a gentleman that helped develop and worked with these tools extensively. I need to do some editing of his email and photos but will post this evening on exactly what these are and how they were used.
