Re: Number One 7mm-08

I understand they made an uncatalogued one year run in stainless/laminate, might that be the difference? It would be a K1A.

Re: Question: Ruger #1 - Stainless/laminate .338 winmag

The records I have do not indicate any 338 Win. Mag. made in stainless/laminate
in the 2000-2010 time period that Ruger produced them.

Re: No 1 in .348 Winchester

I have been trying to get them to make one for years! Your friend might have partaken in our online discussions. In talking with Jason Cloessner, he thinks he might sell 5 of them, I believe.:) This should have been done LONG ago, what a classic round in the No.1. My personal preference would be a 2...

Re: Lipseys Podcast #8

Along about the 38 minute mark they talk about making a 348 Winchester No.1. I am, accordingly, one of the "five" guys that would want a 348. I think they are, to put it politely, "mistaken". Why this classic rimmed cartridge has never been chambered in that rifle is beyond me, e...

Re: #1 sn 6550 ???

I believe back in that time period they would ship just a receiver, so it may have came that way. Additional information would be great if you have it, I'm sure someone who collects the non-prefix models will be helpful.

Re: Another value question Boddington

That particular rifle should have a fixed rear sight unlike the folding one on the other number ones. And of course, an ivory bead front. I don’t believe they came any other way. Wouldn’t make sense to have a front sight and no rear. The front sights are still available through Ruger, but the rear s...

Re: Another value question Boddington

I believe that model is a 1A, and came with iron sights. Might want to check on that.

Re: Value Question, Ruger 1-A

The last one I saw sell was for about $1500 plus shipping and receiving. Don't remember if it had the box, but they don't come up for sale often, and are highly desirable. I have four, including one unmarked specimen. I know of two others for sale right about at $2000, but are sitting at that price....

Re: Joe Clayton No. 1

Nice rifle! As an aside, I have hinted around about a 23 inch barrel length rifle for a long time. Glad to see they did a 25 inch and something different! I didn’t think it would be that hard to do.
