Walnut looks better.
Metal trigger housing,
and C&R eligible on anything 1975 & earlier.
Next year the Liberty guns will be C&R !!!!

Just got a letter back on T1 Flat-Gate #1915. Made May 1954, correct timing for the serial #, but shipped January 1963 as an RSS5R, which, according to Dougan's book and RENE would be the correct model designation for a 5 1/2 inch rubber gripped gun made from 1960-1962.
