Re: MR-3DB Article in ROCS Digest and “A” marking in place of MR-3DB – Genuine Frame

Thank you Jim. Do you remember casting the Brass Frames for the New Model Rugers? Do you know the meaning of the capital A on some of these cast frames? Lee Sundermeier

Re: MR-3DB Article in ROCS Digest and “A” marking in place of MR-3DB – Genuine Frame

Look at the ROCS summer Report from 2023. This is a full pictorial publication of my "Class of Brass" display at the NRA Spring, 2023 gun show. I now own 5 New Model prototype Brass Grip Frames in different stages of production. Two brass frames contain the letter "A" as you disc...

Re: Seach function ROCS journals

I displayed my Ruger Brass Frame collection at the NRA show in April, 2023 in Indianapolis. The ROCS Summer Report for 2023 has a complete pictorial review of my display with experimental brass frames. These investment cast frames for all NEW MODEL Single Action Rugers were made at the Prescott prod...

Re: Seach function ROCS journals

First I would point out that ROCS publishes a DIGEST, the RCA publishes a JOURNAL. If you check the ROCS web page we have posted the first issue. I am the Editor of the Digest and struggle to receive enough articles from our members to publish our twice/year issues? I need a volunteer who is knowled...

Re: Ruger MR-3DB Brass Old Model Grip Frame

Troy, you make a great point, but my collection of 4 new model and 5 old model brass frames is enough! They are all in different stages of completion, needed to fit their respective revolvers. Brass Frame/Lee

My renewal card and patch arrive early this week. Brass Frame/Lee. I also purchased a 50th anniversary patch from the RCA.

Re: Question on selling multiple Ruger forum sites

It somewhat depends 0n what you are selling (Old Model Single Actions or New Model), long guns or pistols? If they are truly collectables, you probably have a larger audience on the ROCS Forum. If you want a larger audience for more common Rugers, I suspect the .com locations have more "lookers...

Re: Single Six Type 1 Flat-Gate list

Until recently, I was the care taker of the early serial number "40" Ruger Revolvers. From a family written book about one of the first Ruger distributors "Gopher Shooting Supplies", in MN, I learned that Clarence Purdie and his 3 sons received subscription guns from Ruger. Dean ...

Re: The Ruger Red Label Redux

Agree that this article is for all Ruger collectors. I see that Connecticut Shotgun calls this new version, Red Label III. It should be less barrel heavy than the 30" barrel, Sporting Clays version that I now own? Brass Frame/Lee
