Re: FS - RUGER FACTORY STAGS

Your pair of factory sold stag grips are mighty tempting. They would look great on any Old Model XR-3 grip frammed Ruger. The color and conformation are near perfect. Good luck with your sale Bill. Brass Frame/Lee E

Re: No rifle shooters?

My Ruger No.1 in .204 Ruger is a Model No.1AHS with the 22" barrel. great for carrying on my 4 wheeler for ground hogs and in the combine harvesting corn in the fall for coyotes. Short and compact package. My other .204 Ruger is in a Cooper heavy barrel Montana. Bolt action, heavy 27" barrel and the...

Re: ROCS July OGCA Display show Cancelled

All ROCS members: I am saddened to report that the management and board members of the largest gun collecting group in this country could not obtain permission to proceed with their next regularly scheduled meeting. This is despite all attempts with both the state of Ohio officials and local county ...

Re: Type 2 flatgate with stags

Nice looking grips and the gun only shows typical holster wear. Great looking gun with what could be an after market loading gate?
These early Single Sixes show the original design that has made Ruger revolvers so collectible. Good find. Brass Frame/Lee E

Re: Value Question, Ruger 1-A

Bill, that sounds like a good price. If he can get the gun shipped for that amount, I suggest he buy it. Did he ask for pictures of the wood? Just an after thought. Good Luck! Brass Frame/Lee E

Re: Value Question, Ruger 1-A

Bill, Since you describe this No.1 as NIB and hopefully the box has all the paperwork, I would value the complete package at $1400 to $1600. I have one of the unmarked, overrun production models that I value at $1200 and it is is a sweet gun for my 14 year old grandson to shoot at Ohio white tail de...

Re: XR 3 Grip Frame

Simichrome polish works well to polish all my brass framed guns. I buy it from Brownells in a small tube, similar to toothpaste. Rub it on and allow it to dry, then wipe off the haze with a soft flannel cloth. Time and handling will eventually create a dull finish again. Brass Frame/Lee
