Re: Revolver Boxes

If I remember correctly the gray boxes replaced the cardboard ones in 1995, not sure about the black one.

Re: Rocs Membership

Glad to have you aboard, membership also includes a Spring and Fall Digest and Summer and Winter Report, they are high quality and very informative. What do you have in your collection so far?

Re: Anniversary semis. I need research help.

The 40th was a limited edition of 950 offered by The American Historical Foundation, here's a link to their website. https://www.ahffirearms.com/
They do not show any reference to it on the sight but you can contact them and see what information they might have on it.

Rick, the 40th are tough to find with the limited quantities compared to the 50th and 70th, good luck. Here's an ad from when they came out.

Re: NR-5F Single-Six without New Model stamping

I found the answer thanks to R.E.N.E., the serial number is right for the Fixed-sight Single-sixes. Around 900 of this rollmark variation made, price seems high to me.

NR-5F Single-Six without New Model stamping

Ran across this on Gunbroker, it's a NM Single-Six convertible without the NM lettering on the right side of the cylinder frame. Also the serial number does not add up for being 1994. I don't doubt it's a '94, it has the cardboard box and if I'm not mistaken they changed to the plastic box in 1995. ...

Re: 28ga Red Label

Congratulations, nice pick up at a good price. Looking at the 1996 catalog it reads: All Ruger Woodside and Ruger Red Label shotguns have gold bead sights, stocks with a pull length of 14 1/8", a drop at the comb of 1 1/2", and a at the drop heel of 2 1/2". The model number of yours should be KRL-28...
