Publishers make horrendous mistakes all on their own, even after the authors approve the final version. Maybe that happened with the example you show

Looking at a Volquartsen MKIII target hammer: can this be used in a MKIV if the hammer strut is substituted or are there other differences I can't see in a picture?

No trade mark on the 1/2 inch grip medallions either. Also difference in neck feathers. Seems the smaller size the less detail, these .75 of course much smaller than the key ring fob. These do have the round circle shapes on the back just like the 1/2'grip medallions. differences in finer details am...
