Re: Ruger Factory Letters

I have one Ruger letter. For $10 what was there to think about? I'm probably cheaper than most. I probably wouldn't think about it up to $25. Anything more and I'd have to debate it. I wonder if Ruger had increased letters to $20 or $25 if they wouldn't have been feasible where $10 wasn't enough to ...

Re: Combine powder or keep separate?

Hodgdon help desk also suggested keep it separate in a just received email. So now I will ask if I can get a couple of one pound size bottles from them.

Re: 56-5512x

So if you put the screw in from the back side it will catch. Definitely better looking than what was on it. Photo with its cousin, also now improved with rosewood.

Re: 56-5512x

Yeah, I like it except not crazy about those grips. I have a nice Altamont rosewood set I wanted to put on but the screw is about 1/64" out of line and won't connect on the offside panel. Haven't figured out how to fix that yet. But I like it. It's an honest gun.

56-5512x

I got an original Vaquero at the gun show. It is a former working man's gun as it definitely shows the wear. But the bore and all 6 chambers look clean and clear with a light and eyeball. It functions properly, as far as my (very) limited knowledge can tell. I'll post photos later or tomorrow, depen...

Re: Gun show, what to look for

I'd go with an BKH34 (Old Model 357 w/ 4 & 5/8"s barrel). If you could find a convertible that would be a plus. For a 5 & 1/2" barrel, I really like the NM Flattop convertible. May be the only option in that length other than the Single-Seven in 327 Fed Mag. I'd love to find the S...

Re: Gun show, what to look for

Gun show, what to look for

Ok, gun show Saturday. I want to look for a .3xx SA, any of the .3 calibers. No clue what I should look for or look out for. I'm hoping for a 5.5"-6.5" model. Any and all advice on specific models/features/etc. appreciated.

Re: Time to renew?

I suspicioned that was a possibility but wanted to make sure I wasn't confused on my timeline. Seems time passes more and more quickly as I race to my infinity point. This is one of my favorite spots. I want to keep up to date. Thanks everyone.
