Re: 1959 Flattop 357 valuation help

To All,
I am going to list it on Rugerforum.com with all the pictures I posted there when I got the gun and took a lot more pictures. I will put the sellers asking price and see what happens. I'll have it here in the shop also for people to see, with the sellers price on the tag.

Jackie and I are both disappointed but we figured it would happen.

Re: 1959 Flattop 357 valuation help

Vince, I explained that to my customer, pointed out all that was "wrong" with it and told him what a acceptable price range would be. He doesn't want to hear it, he wants $700 for it. He probably overpaid for it and won't listen to any advise. His mantra is "But it is a 1959 flat top Ruger". I'll ha...

1959 Flattop 357 valuation help

Gentlemen, I need some help from the Ruger SA brain trust. A customer wants my help in selling a 1959 flat top .357. S/N is 19030. From one pretty bad picture he sent it does look like it has the "Micro" rear sight. He will be bringing it to me today so I can take better pictures and get any other i...

Re: Let the ribbing begin

Vince, Those are all really nice. Jackie gave up a long time ago and doesn't even say anything anymore. But I have told her where to go to sell all the guns should something happen to me. ROCS/Ruger guys get first crack, then off to Poulin Auction for the rest. I sleep with one eye open :o ;) :D

Re: Let the ribbing begin

Carl, I say that to myself every few weeks :o Jay, I do have a flatgate Single Six, it dates to May, 1956 (with box and original papers) and conservatively I rate it at 99%. :D Bennett, I enjoy shooting just about any style handgun and I do like shooting my SA's but I'm still a DA shooter at heart. ...

Let the ribbing begin

For your Saturday evening enjoyment. :D Sold a couple of guns (1 AR-15 and 1 refurbished Police Service Six) and had been sitting on the money trying to decide what do I really want. During the "pandemic" I built 2 10/22's from all the parts I had laying around and built 2 AR pistols (9mm/suppressed...

Re: Kuhnhausen shop manuals?

I have 4 of his books, The Ruger Single Action Revolvers , The Ruger Double Action Revolvers , The Colt Double Action Revolvers and The Colt .45 Automatic . These are some of the best books for working on firearms and I would recommend them to ANYONE who owns a firearm that he wrote a book on. Not o...
