Re: Ruger Prices

If you have a recent copy of the BBGV, closely read the How to Use This Book section and the Foreword (my 2018 edition has a good section titled Why don't Some Guns Go Up In Value - it gives a great explanation ). The How To Use also explains how the prices are set and how they get the info. Also, a...

Re: SUPER LARGE RUGER AUCTION including #46 collection

The seller doesn't pay a fee, the buyer does. Poulin tacks on a 17.5% buyers fee, that is where they make their money and the seller makes what the item sold for at the bang of the gavel. Even with that fee, the guns I got average out pretty good for what I got.

Re: Ruger serial number look up discrepancy

Chad, I did get the Security Six, GP100 and SP101 serial number 46. Great adds for both my Six series and GP100 collections. And a good start if I delve into the SP101's (I think I have 4 now) :D

Ruger serial number look up discrepancy

Went to the s/n lookup - www.ruger.com/dataProcess/serialHistory/ and entered a serial number I wanted to see what it showed. Got a bit of a suprise. Re: Shooting my Single Actions

Jay, Believe it or not I have 10 singles actions (9 Rugers and 1 Colt) but 5 of those are not shooters. I do like shooting single actions but my heart (and collections) are double action revolvers (at this time :D ). The first handgun I bought was in 1974, I just turned 21, was in the USAF (A1C - E-...

Re: Shooting my Single Actions

I dare say who doesn't like or have fun shooting a big bore full power single action revolver (if they are physically able to). Just something about the shot going off and the gun rotating up like it's supposed to, hearing the bang of the target and seeing it swinging wildly then cocking the gun whi...
