Greetings, the early Blackhawks came in a two piece ( telescoping) yellow box, with a black end label.......depending on which barrel length it is it would be marked BKH41 0r 42 ( 4 5/8's or 6 1/2 in barrel) ans inside of a cardboard shipping wrapper would have the guns data stamped ( inked) on the ...

Yes, I agree would be quite an undertaking,maybe the 'Radical One" ( Rod) would come up with such an item.....I know it would be really hard to try and even get ONE of each of the letter of the alphabet they even used (25 out of 26) only know of a couple of folks that pulled that off........hmmm but...

BIll, that is awesome we like it, gee Roy never said or told Laura that he even owned a Ruger.....hmmmm :? yes those streaks are very interesting and that was an anomoly of the the "batch" mix when they cast those early frames, various components of the "Mix" in the "batch" would come to the surface...

Yes, Rich was into LOTS of different guns, and all nice stuff,,,will be missed ...He set up across from me at OGCA for most of the time we were down there since the beginning.....

Donnie, do you have the gun or can actually "see" it?? the early medallions for the autos at that time as well as the first Single Sixes, were of a "satin" finish on the chrome around the black eagle........... ;)

well having had and seen some many years ago ( at the Monroeville ,PA show for one) and in conversations with Jeff Munnel, Walt Howe, Jack Behn and Mike Splitzgerber the first ones were in the SAME location as the wood grips were, later they moved they further out and up for the stag grips to allow ...

wow, NICE gun and has the real 'early ' ivory grips with the first, early medallion location,,,yes , some of this stuff is indeed ot there but it takes someone letting go of these early guns that have been in "old" collections for way ,way long time........still MOST of these early guns, will never ...
