John was always willing to help educate folks about Rugers. Truly a great guy. He will be missed. His family has my prayers & sincerest condolences.

Re: Grip Repair

A few days late to this,,, but I'll offer a bit of advice. I use a small birds feather,, to apply a good wood glue into the small cracks of a broken screw hole insert. Next, I take a piece of tape, over the repair, then I use both halves, a fender washer, and a grip spacer to screw it all together &...

Re: Kelly Kimbro

I'm picking up mine this week. It has been a long time coming,,, and one I'm GLAD to finally see come together for us who enjoy all the work Kelly has done over the years!
I know many other Rugers may be rarer, more desirable or whatever,, but to me,, this one will always be VERY special.

As always,, a STUNNING gun to see.
If I recall correctly,,, you did a display a while back with this one,, and I seem to remember it. As I recall,,, all I could do was dream & drool!

Re: OGCA DISPLAY PICTURES POSTED "EXHIBITS" FORUM

Great pics Vince!

If you were lucky enough to attend,, you knew how much fun we have,, and how unique & rare many of the exhibits are. If you did not attend,, you are missing one of the best times a Ruger aficionado can have!

Re: New grip frame for my Blackhawk. 41

Nice!
I tinker with making my own grips occasionally as well. I have found, for my tastes,, a lighter colored wood is nice looking on blued guns,,, while darker woods go great on stainless guns. The Maple is good,, as is American Holly!
