Re: first deer

Congratulations! That young man looks plenty proud, and he should be. My little boy is in his 50s now. I remember when he was that age and his first deer.

Re: Engraved Flattop

Yes, these grips are attached with an adhesive!! An ivory dowel/rod was placed between both grips, epoxied on each end of the dowel/rod and clamped tightly until dry. Guaranteed never to loosen or slip. They have stayed in place since 1984. Of course, there is no adhesive on the grip frame.

Re: Engraved Flattop

Clark did not like to work on aluminum. This is actually a Colt grip frame. I assume they are epoxied?? They have never been off. Good question.

Engraved Flattop

I good friend of mine (the late Frank Clark) engraved and gold inlaid this old Flattop for me in 1984. The carved ivory grips are from another friend K. Dennis Holland.

Re: Breast Plate Drill Grip Type

I'm pretty sure John Dougan has one. Check out his latest book. I can't remember if he has a picture of it in there.

Re: Breast Plate Drill Grip Type

While displaying my auto pistols in Houston a few years ago, I had a pistol grip drill included. A guy brought this one in the next day. Not mine. I did try to buy it but no luck.
