Re: 1950 RST-4 (1st collectable?)
Thanks Steve & WT! I'm checking with Dennis W. ( SGW ) to see if his 2-piece bolt service can be applied to all 3 of mine (1-Blued Std, 1 Blued MkI, 1-SS MkII KMK6)! Ted FWIW, SGW responded that pinning the Mk series 2-piece bolts is possible, but the fix is visibly noticeable. After the...

Re: Cleaning regimen
Rick, Agree with both Bill and Ron! However, I perform a detailed inspection, through cleaning and function dry-fire test regiment with any New or Used firearm, not just the collectable ones! I want to know their exact condition, replace very worn/broken parts and be confident in their ability to pu...

Yep, and the Adventures Continue!
Rick, Looks to me that you do have a Type IV with the 2-piece medallion (flush Eagle, edge yellowing). Great pics, looking forward to the big enchilada (err, Ruger Pistol pics)!!

Re: A little help for a newbie please
RL, You should have a Ruger Pistol Red Eagle Type IV (one of the rarest) with either the 1 or 2 piece grip medallion and a flat muzzle, mnf. Oct, 1950! Does the Red Eagle appear flush with the medallion silver background (2-piece), or does it appear recessed into the medallion (1-piece)? B...

Re: A little help for a newbie please
This is my first post on this site, so I’ll make it something that ought to be easy for some of you. I just purchased a red eagle with a 2 piece grip medallion. How can you tell? IME, the two piece "Red Eagle" is painted On the silver medallion surface, thus it is flush with the surface o...

WTB: "The Ruger Papers"
Probably Don Findley's 1949-2015 publication is no longer in circulation, but wondering if there might be a good used copy someone would be willing to part with?
