Rare Bearcat Convertible

Here's a rare Bearcat Convertible that somebody should jump on!!! https://www.gunbroker.com/item/1020204095 93-01864. This gun was shipped to a well known gun writer/Ruger collector as a test gun. It is one of perhaps 30 New Bearcat convertibles that is rollmarked on the left side of the cylinder fr...

Re: 75th Anniversary .22 pistol

Well, they got the pistol moved over to the Target section. Now... if anybody wants one, better put your order in soon because the MSRP for the 75th gun (with stainless bolt and special rollmarks) is currently shown $80 cheaper than a blue 5-1/2" bull barrel Target in the Mark IV (they original...

Re: RCA goodies

I don't know if he is still with us or not. He was from Massachusetts. In about 1984 at the Monroeville, PA Ruger collector theme show I was walking the floor and spotted two boxed Lightweights on Mr. Mongeau's table. One was an absolutely NIB Tri Color Lightweight with no chips on the cylinder and ...

Re: Bisley Single Seven model 8168

To everybody wondering.... After looking through Ruger's production for 2023, there have still only be 12 of model 8168 shipped.

Re: Looking for help to identify signatures.

That is Nancy Padua on the bottom, so the top signature is probably Steven Vogel
Signed at the 1981 Ruger Collectors theme show in Monroeville, Pennsylvania???

75th Anniversary .22 pistol

Couldn't stand it any longer. Had to write to my best contact at Ruger (auction Annie) to let her know that the higher ups at the factory should not call the new 75th Anniversary pistol a "STANDARD" model, and that the configuration it is in is actually just an updated variant of the "...

Re: 1949-1999 50th Anniversary M77 Mark II rifle ???

I've not seen a rifle like you described, but I have one of the 1 of 1000 264 win mags made in 1998 for the 50th anniversary. It's a KM77RP M77 Mark II stainless with zytel stock and engraved floorplate serial number 786-67559. I think they were made for GO Sportsmen and AcuSport. Its not so much t...

1949-1999 50th Anniversary M77 Mark II rifle ???

I do not recall a special M77 Mark II rifle model that was produced for Ruger's 50th Anniversary in 1999. But an avid collector recently found a blue M77 Mark II in .257 Roberts with walnut stock and a floorplate that has Ruger's traditional style floorplate engraving (of later models) with a 50th A...

Re: New model 30 carbine

I've always thought that if an Old Model collector were going to cross over to New Models as well, the earliest New Models shipped in leftover 2 piece Old Model era boxes would be a great place to start. All except the NM Super Super Single-Six in two-piece box are exceptionally rare!!!
