Re: Need Help
I'd swap the conversion parts out & put that OM back to "as shipped" condition. Just remember,, after you do,,, "Load one, Skip one, Load four, full cock, then carefully lower the hammer on the empty chamber.

Re: The first 3-screw that led to my addiction
Nice snag there.
I'm a fan of those OM .45's for sure. With only 3 years of production, and fewer of them than the FT 44's,, they are desirable. Add in that there are only (6) variations, it can make collecting "one of each" a doable challenge.
Downward spiral? Nahh!

Re: Super Blackhawk Bisley (Big Bore)
Of the two you mentioned,, I'd opt for the .480 Ruger. I have shot several of the .480's & the .454's,, and find the 480 to be a more pleasant round, and will do all I'd ask of one.

WTS; XR3-RED stags PICS up 3/3 Reduced 3/14
I have a pair of stags,, NOT factory of course,, as they fit the XR3-RED g/f. They have markings & stamps (ink) on the back,, but have faded to where they are heard to try & decipher. I'll have to add pictures later,, but I'm asking $300.00 shipped & insured. NOW $285.00 SHIPPED & IN...

Kudos on a fine bunch of Rugers there. And I can easily echo the above comment about the bunch "growing" to where you need a bigger table!

Re: MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL
"Merry (belated) Christmas" to my Ruger collecting family! I'll see if I can get some pictures up of my Christmas cards. And no,, I do not have any as early as the ones Don posted. Ok, here's one I already had in my files. It's of an envelope sticker used on the Christmas cards. https://i....

Re: Ruger packaging bags
I THINK I recall they switched to the plastic bags when they switched to the yellow & black cardboard boxes following the red flimsey ones. And as with everything Ruger,, there are exceptions. But it'd be very early 80's or even late 1970's for sure. I think as they used up the wax paper they us...
