Tough search with minimal responses from a historical perspective.......and that over a double decade overview from the saddled horses in the RCA, Ruger Forum.com, Gunbroker, Ebay, and ROCS stables. Same goes for the 10" 357 FT boxes. Many of us remain vigilant..............Splitz

I understand that our late Friend, Lynn Laudise, sold the unfinished third and fourth rifles...........One of the alleged reasons for the unfinished project was the reported institutional care required of Franz Martkl, the engraver.

Years ago, Steve Vogel told me that there were 1800 CHP marked variations and 200 non marked for a total of 2000 rifles...........

And I have learned about a box I was not aware of! New info for an old man!

Think you need a/the longest yellow one piece box. The brown generic box was used to ship returned guns back to the owner............I have always thought your gun to be a rather unsung rare piece, as they made few with the taper barrel and ramp front sight........
