At times,, the marking of the 3 digits was also used to keep track of parts when re-bluing them. (As noted above.)
However,, stainless guns may not have markings because they do not get blued & separated from the gun as it's assembled.

Tried a new accessory
I recently received an accessory for my GP-100 MC in 10mm. It's an extended cylinder release for competition. It looks a little funny,, but it sure works VERY, VERY well. My speed reloads seemed quicker & smoother today at my local USPSA match. And it must have worked because my scores reflected...

Re: Patches & Decals
Yep,, Harrisburg where I had my pet skunk with me! :D :D The P&R decal,, VERY hard to find. The last one I saw for sale is the one pictured. I got lucky enough to find that one shortly before I put together that display. Not too many of them floating around. I saw a wooden box a few years later,...

Re: Patches & Decals
That prototype patch is kinda different. It's almost a "3-D" type as it's quilted & stuffed, a little making it stick out some.

Re: Yankee Mechanic's Inc. Clydesdale
Great info here.
That's one of the tools I'm still seeking. I missed one several years ago,, BEFORE I knew it was actually Ruger connected. My mistake.

Re: Patches & Decals
That P&R decal was very hard to find. The patches are hard enough,, but that decal was a challenge.
The odd red patch below Bills pocket patch,, is a prototype one. It came with "provenance" as well.

"Tyrone has all the cool gear!"
Not all of it by far. I'm still hunting for several things that are "holes" in my collection.
But I have managed a few goodies I enjoy sharing.
