Re: My ANiB MkII, 678 Target

DS,

Congrats on your MKII MK-678...very nice shooter. I have a 1978 MkI T-678, it's really sweet, but not NIB!

Now, if only the KMK-514's (my next slot to fill) would show themselves "For Sale" like the 678's ???

WTB: 1950 Red Eagle 1-Piece Box & OM

Hello, I'm looking to "complete" my 1950 RST-4 Red Eagle acquisition with a Red Eagle Box and Owners Manual . HERE are pics of the box (thanks Terry), a One-piece assembly with the top hinged to the lower, where the top flips up and over! Is there a dedicated OM just for the 1950 Red Eagle...

JD,

Great spreadsheet with a lot more Detail and Useful info!! Was going to do something similar, but it would have been pretty anemic compared to your endeavor! ;)

THANKS for sharing,

Re: 1950 RST-4 (1st collectable?)

Congratulations on your find. It certainly is a collectable. The August 2019 edition of the Red Eagle News Exchange (RENE) price guide lists the collector grade Type II's at $610. If you do not have one, Chad Hiddleson's Encyclopedia of Ruger Semi-Automatic Rimfire Pistols * 1949 - 1992 is a must h...

Re: 1950 RST-4 (1st collectable?)

Thanks to all for the kind comments and support! I was given a link yesterday to a very educational and detailed gun show participant, the Bob Belknap's Ruger Red Eagle Display at the 2004 RCA Show in Tulsa! :D I've been reading about the Ruger Collectors "Type" ratings for Red Eagles, but...

1950 RST-4 (1st collectable?)

Below is my newest acquisition, a 1950 Ruger Red Eagle Standard, SN-3560! After my through take down review, believe it would rate as a NRA "Excellent" status, with 99% perfect bluing and a basically "new" look (inside and out), including an original Red Eagle grip emblem. Riflin...

Re: I picked up another Ruger pistol

TCB, Congrats on your 53' find (my birth year)...great find and as per your wonderful blog documentation, cleaned up really nice! I had been eyeing a 53' on auction, but asking way too much and needs a head to toe restoration (bluing is terrible-50%). Soooo, found and have a RST4 1950 Red Eag...
