Re: Rugers Boxes

Chad,
I agree, I have come to the conclusion that trying to track box usage to handguns is going down a rabbit hole. I guess I'll concentrate on just my double action revolvers first, that should keep me busy for a while (probably a good while :D )

Re: Texas Elk

Lee,
I have no words other than that is one magnificent animal. I think average US hunters would give their left "ahem" to just be able to see/watch one like this much less take it.

Rugers Boxes

Trying to get some dates on when Ruger started/ended using certain color boxes for their revolvers - anyone done any research who could help me out? Re: Wanenmacher's Tulsa Gun Show

I also noticed that the 6' table was marked on my receipt. I didn't get an "early in" pass either. I guess I'll try to get hold of them next week before I head south to Tyrones place for the East Coast Gathering.

Re: American Handgunner

You came up with another great drawing again Don. Only thing I noticed was that the 200th Year roll mark wasn't there although the barrel markings were :o (probably the time difference from when the drawing was done until it was put on the cover). Lee, good on you for getting it back, now put it bac...

Re: Wanenmacher's Tulsa Gun Show

I got mine late last week (I'm at LW8) and made my hotel reservation yesterday. Looking forward to the show, just don't know what my display will be yet but I'll brainstorm with the folks who show up at the East Coast Gathering next week.

Re: 1971 RDA-34

The correct box shoud be a white, one piece box with the inside cut to the shape of the revolver.

That's an excellent example of that pistol, great find on your part. Now comes the hard part - finding the correct box.
