The letter is dated 1956,, the postmark is 1955,, and the other letter & check is dated 1979. Neat pics!

Yep,, that's the catalog. It was one of the first,, if not the first "accessory" catalogs they printed. I think it dates to 1996. That's what I have in my notes with my poker chip set.

Glad you were able to discover you had the correct manual! Yep,, reading,, studying & all can mean a HUGE difference in the subtle differences in our guns. As noted,, too many people are too lazy to read (not you,) and study stuff. They think; "I can just google it," when in reality,, ...

You are right,, not EDC friendly,, or at least not as friendly as the normal release button.
But it's not as profound as you might think. But it sure does make releasing the cylinder easier for me!
