Bill I like them and always thought there could be a possibility that they were early Ruger ivories. Yours look an awful lot like the 2 pair pictured below. No dished area with penciled numbers...and early medallions. It would be interesting to know when Ruger went from early "satin" medal...

Enjoying the trip through time Don. Keep the pictures coming. Interesting that the records indicate the Hatcher Single-Six left the factory with Ivory grips. It's always been written that no Ruger shipped with anything other than hard rubber grips or walnut grips. Stag & Ivory were never shipped...

Neat gun. I think the loading gate is a standard Ruger. Here is a picture of the Premier gate and you can see it takes up most of the opening on the frame. You got a neat gun either way.
