1963 Gun Digest

A good friend gave me this original Jim Triggs painting. Jim submitted this art to Gun Digest as a possible cover for an upcoming (1963) Digest. It did not make the cut. It is oil on board.

Re: James Triggs Painting

Jim Triggs was asked to join the prestigious Society of American Historical Artists (SAHA) in 1981. At their yearly meetings & show this was Jim's first entry. He was elected to the office of SAHA Secretary in 1983. The original painting was oil on art board.

Re: Update on Factory Letters

It is not that they don't have the information you seek; they will not give it to you. They will not even sign those $10 letters. Very disappointing.

New Ruger Book

I just had 50 copies of my book, The Ruger Papers, printed in a leather bound edition. 50 copies and no more. All are signed & numbered. I will try to match up this leather edition's number with your original book's number if I can. If you have a special number in mind please send a PM. They are...

Good idea. I believe we have singed more new members with the book give away at big shows than anything else. I'm always for trying new ideas to raise funds.

These pictures are from a hunt in Central Texas a few years ago with Mike Fifer, Lee Newton, and Don Findley. This is a buck Mr. Fifer shot on that trip. Scored 162 B&C.

He is a master engraver and does a lot of work for the general public. I believe you could contact him thru the Engravers ...

Final Ivory Rule

Wasn't sure where to post this. I know a lot of members are unsure about displaying or selling ivory grips. This was in a magazine I got yesterday.

Re: PLATED SCREW FOR FACORY STAGS

The old Jay Scott grip screws will work. You may have to buy a set of grips to get the screw. Usually found on Ebay.
