It's been years since I've seen one of these hammer springs done this way. Wes Flowers (RIP) was a Fast Draw Gunsmith in Arizona that used to lighten the hammer spring this way instead of cutting coils... I had never heard of him. Thanks for the info. A google search reveals he was very well liked,...
