RocDoc, I will take the stamp to Dallas in April. You can get a good look at it. It was the property of the legal dept. I would imagine it was to them like discarding a well used stapler. I would think the decision to destroy barreled receivers & Hawkeyes & Maxis would have come from higher ...

Sturm, Ruger & Co. original corporate seal. An employee retrieved it from the trash several years ago. The bronze disc is worn but still makes a clear mark.

Harry Sefried, head of Ruger's firearm design dept., was the original owner of Mag. Only Single Sixes number 300000 & 300001. The early .22 WMR ammo (1959/60) is very rare. These early boxes do not have the "child warning" label.
