Re: 1950 RST-4 (1st collectable?)
Congratulations on your find. It certainly is a collectable. The August 2019 edition of the Red Eagle News Exchange (RENE) price guide lists the collector grade Type II's at $610. If you do not have one, Chad Hiddleson's Encyclopedia of Ruger Semi-Automatic Rimfire Pistols * 1949 - 1992 is a must ha...

Re: T514
Should be about $550 to $600. Depends also on the bolt type - regular or tapered ear.

Re: Red Phoenix (Eagle) grips or medallion
You have a Type 2 Red Eagle base upon the s/n.
The appropriate grip panels (with escutcheons) will set you back about $250 IF you could find them. A set of original Red Eagle panels w/o escutcheons should cost about $125. They do show up from time to time.
Good hunting.

Re: What could it be?
From the s/n it is a Type 4 Red Eagle. This is the rarest of the Red Eagles as only about 300 were made in October 1950. These have the same configuration as the Type 3 except they transitioned from a rounded to a flat muzzle crown.

T514
Prices going up?
A nice T514 with Muzzle Brake (no Inc) just sold ($1,000 plus an 18% fee) on the Amoskeag auction to an onsite bidder. There was a good flurry of bidding.

The RCMP T678's numbered probably less than 100. Anyone seen one in the flesh?
