Bearcat question

Post by deltaarnet »

Found another Alpha" Cats with a K prefix, but in the 90's it was sent to Ruger for a conversion kit. The seller has all the original parts, Can the upgrade be changed back ?

Got this statement from Ruger.com

This mechanism can be factory-installed without any further alteration. The frame and other major parts will not be affected by this Conversion. The value of the gun will not be impaired, and we will return your original parts for collector’s purposes. I'm not sure I agree a upgrade on a 1959 Alpha cat "K" won't hurt the value. I am a new at this, so any help on this issue would be appreciated.

Will speak to a gunsmith Later today.

I just bought this beauty and yes it is a beauty with box :D :D :D :D

If you have the original parts, they can be reinstalled to put it back original.

Due to the conversation with my Gunsmith about this I've decided to just leave the kit installed.

It has a letter from Ruger so it' a bit of history about the gun.

Just make sure you always keep the original parts with the gun and it will retain its value.

That is the plan. Did locate an "M" bearcat on GA, but it's priced like an E or F :( Will wait a week or so and send an offer if he declines I will move on. :( :( Update made offer, but declined So I moved on to an Alpha cat "G" :D :D :D :D
