96/22

Post by Coogs »

Need a little help here. I've got a 96/22, used no box, Inexpensive scope mounted. Did a search on GB, couldn't find any for sale or completed auctions. Now i love the gun, never shot it myself would like to, but my hand will not fit in the lever! (my rings are size 19 and bigger) So i'm contemplating parting with it. But, I don't want to give it away, and I don't want to try and rape someone on the price. Sooooooooo, any ideas. I'd rate it 90%+, and I usually rate lower than what it actually is.....Pics ain't happening here, I'm computer illiterate. If I do decide to sell I'll list it here and probably RF.com.....thanks for the help, Jack

Jack, the ones I've seen recently are listed in the $500 to $600 dollar range. The models in .17HMR and .22WMR typically bring a premium of more than that. Just giving you an insight to what I've seen with them. Good luck

Does the Blue Book include variables such as a transmission blowing up on the vehicle going to pick up said 96/22?? It ran considerably more than the 100% value when the cost of the towing came into play... I have to say this is one of my more expensive Rugers.....

Carl,
I have a few like that myself.....Consider it an expensive FFL transfer fee.
We need a photo of the 96/22 on the hood of the car for this post...
