Beautiful grips!
Please educate me.
The "C" stamped on the back of the #1 grips
picture is circled in red.
Is this a proof mark to prove they are original?
Can I buy a book with this kind of info in it?

Thank you,
JAY

I don't think anyone knows 100% why the long frame grips are stamped with the letter C. The best book you can buy on all things Ruger is Ruger Pistols & Revolvers, The Vintage Years by John C. Dougan. Very informative.

I could really use some grips in this condition or similar for both Long Frame and Standard Frame Super Black Hawk and OM Flattop .44.
