Just an update on what is happening.
The shop is empty. Serve Pro took EVERYTHING in two piles, cleanable and un-salvageable.
Anything plastic or with any wiring or motor went in the un-salvageable pile.
Drills, chain saw, pressure washer, leaf blower, sonic cleaner, speakers, laptop, camera,
fishing gear, camping gear, ect....all un-salvageable.
This pile the insurance company will make me an offer & if I choose to buy it new they will
reimburse me he difference.
Anything metal OR paper they can clean. What a relief, since ALL my Ruger reference books,
pictures, memorabilia, cardboard pistol and 10-22 boxes were in there. Also all my leather
holsters & belts, they say can be cleaned. Hoping they are correct .
Safes are cleaned and are in the shipping container (in the driveway). So far no smell. Time will tell.
All for now.......
Cheers,
JAY

Re: FIRE.....
Here I am today in the process.....
The insurance adjuster cashed me out since the estimates he was
getting from general contractors was a lot more than my insured value.
I should be ok with the local guys I know.
A few pics from this weekend and after my guys were here today.
Cheers,
JAY

What a disaster! Were you able to use the old slab?

Re: FIRE.....
Glad you were able to salvage some of your items and moving forward on your new building.

Pretty much all that is left is the old slab and the poles!!
I know enough contractors that want to work that I should
be able to end up with a better building and some $ left over.
today's pics.

Looks like things are going good after the fire. Keep us posted on the rebuild.

Three months later......
Shell rebuilt, heat, light & water installed!!
Actually built a bench today .
Might get back to "normal" in the next couple months...
PLUS.... a possible Ruger addition

Looking good buddy! You've made lemonade out of lemons and are doing some nice upgrades in the process.

Re: FIRE.....
Jay I am glad you are getting things back to normal. I know recovery from a fire can be tough. Looks great!
