JOHN DOUGAN'S RCA DISPLAY AT NRA INDY

Post by flattop44 »

John Dougan's great display representing the RCA at the NRA annual meeting in Indy last weekend. John's display was awarded Best Educational Display in the Contemporary Arms category. You will also see in a separate post that Steve Adamson's display representing ROCS also was awarded Best Educational Display in the Contemporary Arms category. This speaks highly of our beloved Ruger firearms and the collectors who built these great displays!! Congrads John!!

That's an amazing display, lucky to have that kind of commitment in the education of Ruger’s fine firearms.

That is an amazing display. I took a good look at the picture and noticed the tools on the right hand side. It will be hard to top a setup like John has there.

I remember seeing a similar display by John in Tulsa with the proto-type guns exhibited. A pleasure to view. What some don't know is the "Fast Draw" timer/clock in the center is probably as rare as most of the guns on display. I believe only 4 were made.

Gary, you are 100% correct, John won an NRA Award for that clock too.

I have seen several of John's displays. Each of them has displayed the "rarest of the rare" guns that most of us can only dream about and/or read about in books. If you ever get the opportunity to see it up close and in person do so.Spend the time to read the tags and look closely at each item. You will probably never see any others like them again. A life time of collecting and I can not come close to what is on this display, it is truly amazing!!
