This is the last pistol from the original Standard and Mark I Target series. The Mark II line was introduced in January 1982.

Don what a nice piece of history. Is this your letter and does the RST-6 #17-80344 reside with you?

Actually, I took that image from my book. My friend, John Dougan just gave me the note from Nancy.

That is a thing of beauty. RST6 is my favorite model because it was the 1st new pistol I ever owned. You have some wonderful stuff for sure.

Very nice Don, I'm happy for you.
You certainly deserve it for the work of putting the The Ruger Papers together for beginners, researchers, collectors, enthusiasts and historians of today and the many generations to follow. A good friend indeed.

I just received Don's book on "Bill Rugers .22 pistols" and can say that there is tons of interesting 'stuff' in it. Lots of research to get that much information together.

I am always amazed by what pops up on this forum.
And I agree with Gene, after getting to "know" Mr. Findley
from his books and reading this ROCS forum no one is more deserving.

Chuck........GET IN LINE! I'm older than you!
Cheers,
JAY
